BigDog Boston Dynamics
This robot dog is an design for the american army. Amazing what exists... the robots are getting to intelligent!
Roboting technology is not so far from real humans...

Great small apartment...
Love this idea...
Excellent way to transform a small, dark, ugly apartment into something GREAT!
Well as he says you can not collect many things or be obsessed with things because of course this is very small apartment... but I love the idea! Great use of space and he has everything he needs.

Theo Jansen
Theo jansen came to IaaC last week.

He explains everything... anyone interested can make one! And he confirmed that he loves when people reproduce his work! It was the animal reproducing it self through the humans!
It was very impressive! Theo is quite an interesting man and has a lot to tell!
His sandbeests, that he has been working on all his life... or at least last 20 years... is an simple but incredibly great design...

Architecture schools around the world
This website has a list over all architecture schools in the world, interesting to have a look at it if you are considering doing your architecture studies!
I just found it... I would have liked to have something like this when I was choosing a school to do my masters degree. Well I did find a school at the end and a very good one... but it is comfortable to have it all there in one website!
I have to brag that my school, IaaC is the 3rd in the world according to this... not bad! ;)

BIG
Im sure that every architect lover knows by now the Danish architect firm BIG. Founder of that firm is Bjarke Ingles. He studied in Barcelona and in Copenhagen... you can find his CV on their website...
This firm is very interesting and innovative and it is very much worth it to go through their presentations in search for inspiration!

BARCELONA
Þá er ég komin til Barcelona!
Komin í Mastersprógram við IaaC, Institute for Advanced Architecture of Catalunia.

Endilega tékkið á þessu ef þið hafið áhuga að vita hvað er í gangi hérna hjá mér í Barcelona!
Ég ætla að halda áfram að posta hérna skemmtilegum myndum af arkitektúr og hönnun sem rekst á.
Síðan ég kom hingað til Barcelona hefur lítið annað komist að en skólinn. Svo ég ætla að byrja á því að pósta mynd af fyrsta verkefninu mínu hérna.
Jú ég er í Master í arkitektúr... en þetta fag heitir Digital Fabrication, svo við erum að vinna með mismunandi efni og vélar, þessi lampi er gerður úr 0.6mm þykkum pappír. Ekkert lím ekkert aukaefni. Aðeins pappír. Hann var gerður í laser cutter vél. Sem er mér orðin vel kunnug núna.
Bráðum mun ég skelli hér inn nokkrum myndum af þeim magnaða arkitektúr hérna í Barcelona.

Hver segir að það sé ekki hægt að skeita inni?
Var það mamma þín sem sagði að það mætti ekki skeita inni? Nú mætti kannski endurskoða þá staðhæfingu...
PAS húsið er fyrsta hús sinnar kinslóðar, hannað fyrir hjólabretti jafnframt því að vera fullkomlega búin íbúð.
Það er hægt að skeita á öllu í húsinu... öllum húsgögnum og vegjum og gólfum...
Conseptið var fundið upp og hannað af hjólabrettamanninum og hönnuðinum Gil Le Bon Delapointe og arkitektnum Francois Perrin.
DRAUMUR ALLRA SEM ELSKA HJÓLABRETTI, persónulega væri ég svo sem ekkert svakalega spennt að hafa íbúðina mína svona... en frábær hugmynd og mjög flott útfærsla!!!

Hús í fjöllum sao paulo, eftir MMBB Architects
Húsið er í Sao paulo í Brazilíu, augljóslega undir miklum áhrifum frá Le Corbusier, Villa Savoye og einnig sjást mikil áhrif frá Mies Van der Rohe, Farnsworth house.
Skemmtileg hugmynd að hafa vatn á þakinu, spurning hvernig það sé einangrað ekki skemmtilegt ef það fer allt í einu að drippa inn í húsið...

Falleg íbúð í London
Falleg íbúð í London eftir arkitektana Haverstock associates.
Fallegt hvernig gróðurinn blandast mjúklega við hvíta hráleikann og gefur garðinum hlýju...
Ég er að fíila þessa hvítu hvítu íbúð, þó að venjulega myndi ég kjósa að hafa smá við og karakter í bland, þá er bara ekki hægt að neita fyrir hreinleika og fegurð þessarar íbúðar.
Væri sko ekkert á móti því að búa í London í svona svítu.
En á heimasíðu arkitektana Haverstock associates er hægt að sjá mikklu fleiri og mjög svo áhugaverð verkefni.
Furzey Hall Farm
Furzey Hall Farm er Victorian sveitabær sem Waugh Thistleton Architects endurgerðu í mjög fallegt og stílhreynt fjölskylduhús.
Fallegur bakgarður... er mjög mikið að fíla hvernig gamli og nýi stýllinn blandast saman í einstakri harmoníu.
